Cereal

Well, we started cereal with Allison even though the doctor said to wait until 5 months. She was ready for it. I do not think she likes the taste very much. She gets this look on her face like what did you just put in my mouth. I hear it is best to give them a new thing each week to get their bodies used to it so next week we will try some baby food that has a little more taste to it. Hopefully she likes that better. I know she likes mashed potatoes because my dad gave her some on Thanksgiving. Now, she thinks if we are having potatoes she should be. It is funny because she stares at us while we are eating dinner and licks her lips. I have been giving her biting biscuits, but those are not good enough for her. She wants the yummy stuff she can see. I guess she is going to have an appetite like her Daddy.

Not Feeling the 4 Month Appointment

So yesterday was Allison's four month appointment. She got another round of shots and this time it is really affecting her. The poor thing has been fighting a fever all day. This combined with the teething issues, makes for a not so happy Allison. She was up most of the night last night and has been cranky all day today. Not that I can really blame her. I would be the same way if I had 3 needles stuck in me at once. Today is one of those days where you stay in your jammies all day.

Of course a not so happy Allison means a very tired Mommy. Oh well, such is the life. I will catch up on my sleep in about 18 years when she moves out. Yeah right, I know I will be up all night worrying about her. LOL

I have to give a shout out to Matt for getting his E-4 finally. It is about time. The man has deserved it for a long time. We are all very proud of you Matt. Well, time to go tend the cranky baby.

Under the Weather

Both Allison and I have not been feeling that great the last few days. Allison has the sniffles and I have sinus issues. Probably a lovely remnant of our plane trip. All that recycled air cannot be good for the system and there were a few people coughing almost the whole time so we can thank them. Allison thinks it is funny when I use the booger sucker on her. She laughs the whole time. I guess that is a good thing since she is not screaming everytime I do it.

Allison has decided once again that rolling is not too much fun because she only rolled one day for me. I am starting to think that maybe it is a once a month special that I get. Hmmm, that must mean that I should keep the camera handy at all times. She is, however, trying to scoot herself across the floor. Apparently being stationary on a blanket has gotten old in her eyes and she is ready to explore. Of course she would rather spend her days jumping in her jumperoo or sitting up and looking around. She is quite nosy and has to see everything that is going on. It is a real pain when I am trying to feed her and she whips her head around in every different direction. I think more milk ends up on her clothes than in her tummy sometimes.

Fall Fun

I figured I would start out with a test picture. Here is Allison getting ready for her first adventure in the cold.

Welcome

Well, I decided to start a blog so everyone can keep up with what is going on in our world. I hope to keep it fairly updated with pictures and other things. Welcome and feel free to comment any time.
